Clockwork Caverns - Clock

Nestled in an ornate antique clock, you will find a world of intricate clockwork machinery, forsaken long ago by those who built it. A mechanism of mysterious purpose lays deep within this mossy cavern, reclaimed by nature. Will you uncover its secrets?

The small grotto within this clock, measuring 9.8 in (25 cm) wide, 6.9 in (17,5 cm) high, and 3.3 in (8,5 cm) deep, was made from real lava rock to create a natural and detailed atmosphere. The vegetation was crafted by sculpting and texturing clay, detailed and accented with hand-painted shades. Recycled (non-functional) metal clock parts were used to add steampunk elements to this piece. 

This piece was created in collaboration with guest artist Lennart Heerink over approximately 13 hours of work.
